We are delighted to have Richard Tatem as the featured speaker for our next meeting of Manatee Patriots. This will be a continuation of a series of "Commitment Nights" for newly elected officials which was initiated with Lisa Moore back in November!
Richard is a regular at our meetings. In fact he provided an impromptu update on the Manatee County Schools at our last meeting! He is a true patriot and an engaging speaker. So be on hand next Tuesday and hear what he has to say!

Update on "Sherry Woodruff"
You may recall in our last newsletter we reprinted an email from a certain "Sherry Woodruff" expressing concerns over the review of books in the Manatee County School Libraries. We also provided Jack's response. But alas, that was all for naught, for we discovered that the original email was sent from an unverified email account. This shows that the Left are technically savvy. But it also illustrates that they do not possess the courage to stand behind their convictions. Are you surprised?

The cranes are coming to take down the "Reconciliation" memorial in Arlington National Cemetery - Will you help stop them?
Call your Members of Congress and tell them to de-fund the woke Naming Commission's recommendations. Background
Senator Elizabeth Warren exploited George Floyd's death as a way to advance the woke agenda in the US Military, amending the military funding bill to establish the "Naming Commission". Its purpose? Identify and replace all tributes to southern veterans of the Civil War. President Trump vetoed the legislation, but it was attached to a "must-pass bill" that was passed over his veto.
The Naming Commission completed its work in late summer of 2022 and delivered its final report which recommended removal of the "Reconciliation" memorial in our nation's iconic military history cemetery, Arlington National Cemetery.
The targeted memorial was the brainchild of US President McKinley, a Union war veteran, who in the aftermath of the Spanish American War promoted then Lincoln's second inaugural address agenda of malice towards none and binding the nation's wounds. It was to be erected in a new plot established by Congress in 1905 for Confederate dead. The memorial was supported by 3 other presidents of both parties: Theodore Roosevelt, Taft and Wilson.
This 32' bronze masterpiece was designed by world renowned Jewish sculptor, Moses Ezekiel. Ezekiel was a veteran on the southern side, the first Jewish cadet at Virginia Military Institute, and upon his death, he was later interred at the base of the memorial.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin accepted the Naming Commission's recommendation in October, and directed the Army, who operates Arlington National Cemetery, to begin the removal process.
Americans around the country and even foreign onlookers are shocked and outraged by the planned theft of American history from Arlington....in a cemetery. After all, isn't that where we were told all offensive monuments should go?
Now is time to de-fund wokeism and put an end to the divisive war on American History. The "Reconciliation" memorial is an important high watermark in the culture war. Wasting a hundred million tax dollars on renamings and removals isn't improving military readiness, but is funding Cancel Culture.
Call your member of Congress today and tell them the Naming Commission went too far in the Arlington National Cemetery Memorial recommendation and to de-fund all the woke Naming Commission's recommendations before it is too late. We will be watching the crane in Arlington in the news if we don't act now.

I was going over the Manatee Patriots mission statement and core values this week. Honestly, I’m looking for a reason anyone would want to take a chance on a CONCEPT. It’s like, Jack wants me to make a time and effort investment... so what is the return? Well, I think I’ve found it.
Just remember, without your participation, Connection Concepts will stay a concept, and never see the reality of our Mission Statement or administration of our Core Values. Values that are not necessarily those of another group or party... they are your values; you’ve said so!
Here's the Manatee Patriots Mission Statement:
We are a non-partisan organization made up of concerned citizens of Manatee County and surrounding areas and funded by the generous support of the community. The purpose of Manatee Patriots is to restore the use of our US Constitution to its original intent.
Our Core Values are: · Defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Florida. - Maintain the Republic
- Elect only those who express a desire to lead and govern, that, have integrity, and will stand against any foe, foreign or domestic, that would jeopardize our founding documents.
- Protect election integrity at every level of government. We must have fair elections.
- Support our 2nd Amendment right to include “Constitutional Carry.”
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Lobby for a balanced budget amendment in the US legislature
- Oppose raising the debt ceiling.
- Support cabinet level spending bills and oppose all omnibus legislation.
- Ensure local government spending is needful, controlled, and that will maintain our liberty.
- Limited Government
- Government should never be larger than necessary.
- Support zero (0) based budgeting.
- Ensure the Sherriff acts on the constitutional provisions of the office, maintaining our liberty.
- Free Markets
- Regulation is necessary but not to the extent as to infringe on the competitive nature of free markets and personal liberties.
- Use zoning to enhance business opportunities and not as a weapon that detracts or diminishes the marketplace.
- Business is in charge of job creation, and not the government.
- Streamline the building office and the permit process (Cities & County).
- Free markets include School Choice. Schools are in competition, and parents should be able to choose and control the educational opportunities for their children.
- God and Country
- Protect and defend the liberty, conscience and life of every citizen, including in-vitro.
- Separate the government from the church, while never separating the character of the church from the government.
- Find, Vet, Finance, and Run candidates who fear God more than men, people of good character.
