Senator Joe Gruters To Join Us Next Tuesday

We are pleased to announce that Senator Joe Gruters will be the featured speaker upon our return from Summer Break next week. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts Senator Jim Boyd will not be able to attend.

Committees will begin meeting in October, so this will be a terrific opportunity to get a glimpse into the agenda for the Florida Senate's next legislative session. You won't want to miss this meeting!

And don't forget, Keith Green - candidate for Manatee County Commissioner District 7 At Large - will be the featured speaker for our meeting on October 10. This will be a great way to kickoff the 2024 election season.

Come Out And Support The Bradenton Classical Academy

Bradenton Classical Academy attended to their capacity interview with the Manatee County School Board administration on 9/7/23. We feel it went well. We will find out soon! Dr. Wysong will be giving his recommendation for either approve or deny at the October 10, 2023 meeting at 10 am. The meeting will be at 215 Manatee Ave West. WE NEED EVERYONE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

Please consider financially supporting the school. If we get approved, we will need funds to help with marketing. If we are denied, our appeal will cost approximately $30,000.

Help Preserve Future Generations

Last year, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation establishing November 7 as “Victims of Communism Day”.  The law states that on or about this day, Florida high school students enrolled in classes on US Government must receive at least 45 minutes of instruction on such topics as Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot and how victims suffered under these regimes.

However, we feel that only 45 minutes of instruction is inadequate to reveal the true depth of the evils of Communism to future generations of Floridians.

In response, we have formed Victims of Communism-Manatee, Inc., a 501(c) (3) Not for Profit organization to enable high school students to learn firsthand about the horrors of Communism by hearing from people who have endured life under a Communist regime. To encourage students to participate, we have established a competitive Scholarship Program for students in Manatee County public, private and home schools.

But we cannot do this without your help.

While the LWVMC is promoting petition drives to amend the Florida State Constitution in favor of abortion, we at Manatee Patriots believe in the sanctity of Life.  So we are asking all subscribers to participate in the 40 Days For Life campaign.  This program will hold vigils outside of the Planned Parenthood office in Sarasota between September 27 and November 5.  For more details, simply click this link.

Volunteers Needed For Rocket Phonics For The 2023-2024 School Year
