New Leadership Institute Office Opened In Sarasota | |

Last Friday, the Leadership Institute (LI) opened its new School Board Training Headquarters in downtown Sarasota. This new facility located at 2163 Main St will be the center for all training related to School Boards for the entire country. It will be managed by Bridget Ziegler, VP of School Programs for LI. Long known as one of the premier training institutes for conservative activists, speakers from LI have presented at numerous Manatee Patriots meetings over the years. So we are delighted to have such a powerful resource located nearby.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by founder Morton Blackwell and featured a virtual "Who's Who" list of conservative leaders, including:
- Riley Gains - Champion swimmer who competed with the woke icon Lia Thomas
- Billboard Chris - Conservative activist Chris Ellston
- Erika Donalds - Prominent School Board member and wife of Florida Congressman Byron Donalds
- Alicia Farrant - Orange County School Board member

From Victims of Communism-Manatee Inc. Help Preserve Future Generations | |

Last year, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation establishing November 7 as “Victims of Communism Day”. The law states that on or about this day, Florida high school students enrolled in classes on US Government must receive at least 45 minutes of instruction on such topics as Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot and how victims suffered under these regimes.
However, we feel that only 45 minutes of instruction is inadequate to reveal the true depth of the evils of Communism to future generations of Floridians. In response, we have formed Victims of Communism-Manatee, Inc., a 501(c) (3) Not for Profit organization to enable high school students to learn firsthand about the horrors of Communism by hearing from people who have endured life under a Communist regime. To encourage students to participate, we have established a competitive Scholarship Program for students in Manatee County public, private and home schools. But we cannot do this without your help. The Bradenton Marauders are excited to celebrate Country/Agriculture Night with Mixon Fruit Farms on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, as the Bradenton Marauders take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6:30 PM at LECOM Park. Gates will open at 5:30 PM.
The cost of admission will be $35 for the game and will include a seat in our Boardwalk BBQ, all you can eat food for two hours, soda and water, and a Bradenton Marauders hat.
Dean Mixon will also be throwing out the first pitch!
