Dear Guest,

A Triumph!

Folks starting arriving well before 5:00pm. We stopped counting after the number of attendees reached 300. By the time President Jack May led the Prayer and Pledge it became the largest audience ever assembled for a Manatee Patriots meeting in its 13+ year history.

It was indeed a fitting swan song for Mixon's Fruit Farms.

To say that General Flynn's presentation was inspiring would be an understatement. He declared that we are already in the midst of World War III and laid out the historical and political precedence for the state of current affairs. Significantly, he declared that patriots can not afford to retire.  Rather he
urged everyone to use their life experiences to combat the forces aligned against the survival of the United States.

It was a powerful presentation, and a long one!  But we have faithfully recorded all 1 hour and 37 minutes and have posted the video to the Past Meetings Videos page on our website.  You may access the video by clicking this link.

One Of The Best Potluck Dinners Ever

The meeting was augmented by one of the most lavish Potluck Dinners we ever had.  Several tables were brimming with a variety of delicious entrees and 2 tables were dedicated to dessert alone.  And we can safely say that we now have a supply of soda that will last us a month!  We want to thank everyone for their generosity and for making the meeting a night to remember.

A Health Freedom Advocate Among Us

We also had the pleasure of hearing from Twila Brase.  Twila is the President and Co-Founder of the Citizen's Council for Health Freedom (CCHF), an organization whose charter is to protect patient and doctor freedom.  She spoke briefly on a cash-based health care system wherein patients deal directly with physicians thereby eliminating the need for Health Insurance middlemen.  To learn more about CCHF, please click this link.

More On The War On Our Children

Deanna Brinkley from Manatee Moms also spoke briefly on the ongoing battle over age inappropriate material in Manatee County Schools.  To find out more and how you can help in this struggle, visit the Manatee Moms website by clicking this link.

Next Week:  Kevin Van Ostenbridge

We are delighted to have the Chairman of the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners - Kevin Van Ostenbridge - as the featured speaker at our next meeting.  Kevin is a frequent visitor to Manatee Patriots and is an engaging and out spoken Conservative.  You won't want to miss his presentation next week.

Promote Patriotism Within Your Family

I was going over the Manatee Patriots mission statement and core values this week.  Honestly, I’m looking for a reason anyone would want to take a chance on a CONCEPT.  It’s like, Jack wants me to make a time and effort investment... so what is the return?   Well, I think I’ve found it.

Just remember, without your participation, Connection Concepts will stay a concept, and never see the reality of our Mission Statement or administration of our Core Values.  Values that are not necessarily those of another group or party... they are your values; you’ve said so!

Here's the Manatee Patriots Mission Statement:

We are a non-partisan organization made up of concerned citizens of Manatee County and surrounding areas and funded by the generous support of the community. The purpose of Manatee Patriots is to restore the use of our US Constitution to its original intent.

Our Core Values are:

·      Defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Florida.

    1. Maintain the Republic
    2. Elect only those who express a desire to lead and govern, that, have integrity, and will stand against any foe, foreign or domestic, that would jeopardize our founding documents.
    3. Protect election integrity at every level of government.  We must have fair elections.
    4. Support our 2nd Amendment right to include “Constitutional Carry.”
  • Fiscal Responsibility
    1. Lobby for a balanced budget amendment in the US legislature
    2. Oppose raising the debt ceiling.
    3. Support cabinet level spending bills and oppose all omnibus legislation.
    4. Ensure local government spending is needful, controlled, and that will maintain our liberty.
  • Limited Government
    1. Government should never be larger than necessary.
    2. Support zero (0) based budgeting.
    3. Ensure the Sherriff acts on the constitutional provisions of the office, maintaining our liberty.
  • Free Markets
    1. Regulation is necessary but not to the extent as to infringe on the competitive nature of free markets and personal liberties.
    2. Use zoning to enhance business opportunities and not as a weapon that detracts or diminishes the marketplace.
    3. Business is in charge of job creation, and not the government.
    4. Streamline the building office and the permit process (Cities & County).
    5. Free markets include School Choice. Schools are in competition, and parents should be able to choose and control the educational opportunities for their children.
  • God and Country
    1. Protect and defend the liberty, conscience and life of every citizen, including in-vitro.
    2. Separate the government from the church, while never separating the character of the church from the government.
    3. Find, Vet, Finance, and Run candidates who fear God more than men, people of good character.

I appreciate you guys and respect the power you may wield!

-Jack
