The Threat of Manatee County "Sustainable Development"
 In January of 2019, Manatee County joined a Nongovernmental Organization (NGO) called "Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI)". While the title sounds harmless, this NGO actually plays a key role in promoting and implementing the United Nation's "Agenda 2030". As you may already know, Agenda 2030 seeks full, socialistic control over every aspect of our lives in the name of advancing “sustainable development.”
At our next meeting, Michael Sabga, Regional Director for the John Birch Society, will present an update on Agenda 2030. Michael last visited us in June and he promises to share the current activities here in Florida to combat the insidious UN plot to dictate how we live using innocuous terms like "Attainable Housing" and "Sustainable Development". You won't want to miss this powerful presentation so be sure to join us next Tuesday, January 17 at 6pm at Mixon Farms. All Manatee County Commissioners are urged to attend this important presentation.

Speaker Bio: Michael Sabga
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Michael Sabga came to the United States in 1984 to attend Film School in Los Angeles. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, he worked 35 years in the Hollywood film industry as a conservative Video Effects Creator & Owner of effects house ‘3D Mike’, which provided animation services to films such as “Ocean’s Eleven”, “Night at the Museum”, and “Logan/Wolverine”, as well as TV episodics such as “CSI”, “CSI:Miami”, “NCIS” & “NCIS:New Orleans”.
In 2006 he proudly became a US Citizen, after following the standard 10-year process most lawful immigrants follow. He currently serves as the Florida Field Coordinator for the John Birch Society. Mike travels throughout the State of Florida teaching the values of our Judeo-Christian Constitutional Republic, contrasting it to the collective mindset of Marxism/Leninism, Mike is also dedicated to educating Hispanics arriving in the U.S., to saving Americanism and our Republic from the tyranny of the New World Order, as well as activating patriots to accomplish this mission.

Join the "Victims of Communism Day" Event Committee
Last year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed HB 395 which established a yearly day during which students in Florida’s schools will learn about the atrocities committed by Communist regimes and the more than 100 million people who were persecuted and lost their lives in Communist countries.
Known as "Victims of Communism Day" it provides an opportunity for students of all ages and Floridians of all backgrounds to learn about the dangers posed by socialism around the world and here at home, as well to reflect upon the blessings of liberty afforded to ourselves and our posterity as a result of the American traditions of limited government and individual freedom.
This bill also instructs that beginning in the 2023-2024 School Year, high school students enrolled in United States Government class must receive 45 minutes of instruction during "Victims of Communism Day" on Mao Zedong, Jospeh Stalin, Vladimir Lenin and other villains of history.
