A Tuesday Night Town Hall!

It was a packed house Tuesday evening as subscribers crowded into the Honeybell Room to hear Manatee County Commissioner at large George Kruse. George eschewed a formal presentation and instead conducted a "Town Hall" devoted entirely to answering questions from the audience. It was a long meeting - over an hour! - and touched on a number of topics. The good news is that we have recorded the meeting in its entirely and have uploaded the video to the "Past Meetings Videos" on our website. You may access it by clicking this link.

Commissioner James Satcher To Present Next Week

Our final speaker for May will be Manatee County Commissioner for District 1, James Satcher. If last Tuesday night is an indicator of folks' interest with the BOCC, we expect our next meeting to be another exciting evening. So be sure to be on hand.

Summer Break From August 1 Through September 12

We want to remind everyone that the annual Manatee Patriots Summer Break will begin on August 1. This year we will be returning on September 19 with Senator Boyd's presentation. So mark your calendars!

Volunteers Needed For The Home Schooling Convention

Hello Dear Patriots!

The time of the year has come for our Annual Florida Home Schooling Convention in Orlando, Florida.

NOTE: ALL JBS BOOTH VOLUNTEERS WILL GET A FREE TICKET TO THE CONVENTION FOR THE DAY THAT YOU VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND THE CONVENTION FLOOR AND LEARN ABOUT HOMESCHOOLING, MEET AND TALK TO OTHER HOMESCHOOLERS, YOU ARE ALSO WELCOMED TO STAY FOR THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER (LAST YEAR IT WAS DR. BEN CARSON!!)

Freedom Project Academy is the educational branch of The John Birch Society and it is growing by leaps and bounds!!

I know that you know this simple fact: If we do not reach the young generations right now, this great Republic of ours is done!!

I know this first hand, I am from Venezuela, and I saw the indoctrination of the children take place there.

Our own Dr. Stephen Guffanti of the Rocket Phonics Foundation is seeking 10 highly motivated volunteers to assist with a summer reading program for third graders here in Manatee County. As you know, Rocket Phonics has proven to be wildly a successful approach to improving reading ability in lower grades.
