Dear Guest,

Manatee County School Board Chairman Chad Choate To Speak At Our Next Meeting!

When even the League of Women Voters of Manatee County praises him for running "...a very efficient meeting" you know that he must be doing something right!  We are absolutely delighted to have the chairman of the Manatee County School Board - Mr. Chad Choate - present at our next meeting.  This will be a "Commitment Night" where Chad will lay out his plans for the year.  There will be ample time for Q&A so be sure to bring your questions, but as our President Jack May says  "..leave your bloviating at the door!"

The following week, on February 7, we have our own Jarvis Williams speaking on the state of Sharia Law in America.  Jarvis has been following the disturbing trend of how Sharia is infiltrating into many aspects of American life so you won't want to miss this intriguing presentation.

And don't forget!  During February we will be hosting Alex Newman and General Michael Flynn as speakers.  These Conservative leaders are scheduled to speak during the following meetings:
  • February 21 - Alex Newman
  • February 28 - General Michael Flynn
Both events are certain to be well attended so mark your calendars and be sure to come early to guarantee your seat!

Update on Speakers for our February 14 Meeting

Commissioner Amanda Ballard was originally scheduled to join School Board member Richard Tatem for a "Commitment Night" during our meeting on February 14.  However, due to a St. Valentine's Day commitment (we don't blame her!), she has had to reschedule for another date in March. So Richard will have the floor to himself on February 14.  We will update our schedule with a new date for Amanda as soon as it is confirmed.

Remember to click on the "Calendar" link on our website (https://manateepatriots.us) to stay up to date with all of our great speakers in the coming weeks.

Connection Builders Program Update

As of this writing only a handful of subscribers has signed up for the Manatee Patriots Connection Builders program.  Jack rolled out the program during our last meeting.  To summarize it is a way for subscribers to get involved with our local Electeds in order to influence change.  What's more, the program virtually guarantees success by focusing solely on those issues which our officials have influence over.  Participants can sign up to connect with 2 elected officials of their choice.  You can review this program by visiting the Dowloads Page of our website by clicking this link.  And, you can sign up by clicking here.

Don't Forget Your  "Potluck Dinner" Item...

...and Soda!

Is It Censorship?  DirecTV Cancels Newsmax

First it was OAN last April.  Now, last week, DirecTV cancelled Newmax. The parent company of DirecTV - AT&T - is setting a dangerous trend in silencing Conservative Voices.  But we can fight back.  Newmax suggests that DirecTV customers immediately cancel their subscriptions and sign up with another cable provider that carries this channel (I use Spectrum).  To read more click on the button below.

Know Thine Enemies - NCAC

In maintaining our focus on censorship, we want to share with you information on an organization we recently learned about - the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC).  This is an organization which purports to promote "...freedom of thought, inquiry and expression".  But upon further review, we see that this organization has strong affiliation with the ACLU.  More importantly they provide a detailed list of resources to counter what they refer to as "Book Challenges", which is precisely what many of our subscribers are currently pursuing in Manatee County Schools.  In fact, they list Manatee County in their "Youth Censorship Database"!  We urge everyone to quickly become familiar with their efforts.  To read more, please click on this link.
