It was frightening. During his presentation last Tuesday evening, Dave Reilly declared that as of right now, the US can not stop a determined nuclear attack launched on our mainland by the Russian Federation. The only deterrent in place is the risk of mutually assured destruction. But this has not stopped Vladimir Putin from increasing his rhetoric.

Dave also insisted that the current conflict in Ukraine is acting as a buffer and is diverting valuable military resources in a war that can not be won. For this reason Dave believes that this justifies our support for Ukraine in the current conflict with Russia.

Representative Will Robinson Next Tuesday



Our friend and State Representative Will Robinson (District 71) will join us next Tuesday, July 18. He will share some of the behind the scenes dynamics that curred during the most recent legislative session. As always, Rep. Robinson will be happy to answer your questions so mark your calendars!

A Challenger For Vern Buchanan On July 25



We announced during our meeting a recent meeting that Vern Buchanan has a challenger for the FL-16 Congressional seat. Well meet the challenger: Jason "Eddie" Speir will be running against Vern for that seat in next year's Republican primary.

Eddie will be the featured speaker at our meeting on July 25. So be sure to be on hand to learn more about the candidate. Remember folks, you heard it at Manatee Patriots first!

No Meetings During Our Summer Break (August 1 through September 12)



July 25 will be the final meeting prior to our 6-week Summer Break.  So be sure to join in the fun before we enter the "dog days of Summer".

It's our tradition to host a potluck dinner at all Manatee Patriots meetings.  So we ask attendees to please bring along an item that can be shared among fellow Patriots.  Bring any portion you like but most folks tend to bring 10-12 servings of a particular dish.

The Right To Kill Babies

Earlier this month, the League of Women Voters of Manatee County hosted a rally to gather signatures for a petition to put "reproductive rights on the ballot".  But as usual, the gruesome fact that unborn human beings are being murdered as of result of exercising these so-called "rights" is hidden behind polite woke euphemisms.  


The organization behind this effort is a group called "Floridians Protecting Freedom".  It includes prominent Abortion Providers and other Left Wing groups.  So we thought you might be interested in seeing the co-sponsors for this event:


     

Publishers Collaborate To Turn Our Kids Into Leftists

It's a disturbing trend.  Book publishers exercising near-monopoly power over school books surreptitiously and deliberately insert woke ideas into textbooks.  Over time these abnormal notions take on the appearance of "normalcy".  The result is that radical ideas are perpetuated as mainstream beliefs and wrecking havoc with traditional family values.  This dynamic is fully explored in a brilliant article in the Federalist, which may be accessed by clicking this link.
