Manatee County REC Elections Tomorrow Night

As most subscribers know, Steve Vernon was compelled to step down as Manatee County Republican Executive Committee (MCREC) Chairman due to serious health complications. So an election will be held at tomorrow night's (Monday, June 26) MCREC meeting.
Two candidates for Chairman are currently in the running: - April Allison Culbreath, Vice-chair and acting Chairman
- Sandy Piper, former MCREC Secretary and past President of the Republican Club of Manatee County
The meeting will be held at the Bradenton Area Convention Center located at 1 Haven Blvd in Palmetto. Registration for this meeting, which is open to both members and guests, starts at 6:00pm. We wish both candidates the best of luck.

There is hardly a meeting that goes by without long time subscriber Dr. Malcolm Williamson extolling the benefits of reading "The Naked Communist: Exposing Communism and Exploring Freedom" by W. Clean Skousen. Written in 1958 by an associate of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, it explains the threat of Communism in America in quite explicit terms. Here's a passage which really should strike a chord with everyone:
"Because Homo-Marxian considers himself to be made entirely of the dust of the earth he pretends no other role. He denies himself the possibility of a soul and repudiates his capacity for immortality."
Being driven by a total lack of morals and an obsession with self preservation, Communists engage exclusively in criminal activities. Readers can draw many parallels between what the author calls the Marxist Man (or Homo-Marxian) and today's Democrat party. So we join with Dr. Williamson in urging all subscribers to pick up and read this profound treatise.

A Call For Candidate Petitions And Surveys
| |
Here's a novel concept: rather than create trite political slogans, why not ask voters what's on their minds when it comes to Manatee County Schools? That is exactly the approach that Mark Stanoch - candidate for Manatee County School Board District 1 - is pursuing. The idea is to go door to door in District 1 communities and survey folks while asking for their signature on the Candidate Petition. It will be fun and a great way to meet your neighbors. To learn more and to sign up, simply click on this link and fill out a short participation form.
If you live in School Board District 1 (generally north of SR64 and east of I-75) you can sign a petition too! To download the Candidate Petition, just click on the cleverly placed button below. Please bring completed forms to our next meeting.
