Dear Guest Guest,

The Inside Scoop On Elections

Last Tuesday evening, Jamie Miller delivered an extensive review of past elections and highlighted where there is opportunity for voting irregularity. He recalled that the margin of victory in most recent Presidential primary and general elections is just a few percentage points so that diligence is required. He recommended that Poll Watchers who are veterans should be able to "wear their service caps" while at the polling locations to deter any wrongdoing. It was a fascinating and very informative presentation.

We have recorded Jamie's presentation in its entirely and have uploaded it to the "Past Meetings Videos" page of our website.  You view the video by clicking this link.

Hear Raj Doraisamy Next Tuesday

And don't forget, Raj Doraisamy will be the featured speaker at our meeting on October 24. He will be providing an update on Defend Florida's current projects and will also share his insights into next year's elections.

Commissioner Ray Turner To Speak On November 28

Commissioner Ray Turner has been quite active on the speaker circuit lately.  He has shared many important items concerning the recent actions of the BOCC and holds some strong opinions on development in Manatee County.  We look forward to Commissioner Turner joining us on November 28 and invite you to attend what will no doubt prove to me an insightful presentation.

Snack Bar Help Needed!

With a subscriber base far exceeding 1,300 we usually have a pretty good turnout at our weekly meetings.  But a big turnout means a lot of hungry folks to feed.  We are in immediate need of some help at our Snack Bar to display potluck items and assist in the general cleanup of the premises.  While the pay isn't great (actually, it's zero!) you will be amply rewarded in the knowledge that you helped spread the words of our Liberty to fellow partriots.  If you willing to help out, please see Jack May at our next meeting.

Thanks For The Pumpkin Pie!

We really appreciate those who brought pumpkin pie to our last 2 meetings.  And with Halloween and Thanksgiving around the corner I say that we maintain this tradition.  So please consider bringing a pumpkin pie to our next meeting.   Our potluck dinners are your gift to other like-minded patriots. So be generous and share that pie.

And be sure to check out our full calendar at https://manateepatriots.us.

Help Preserve Future Generations

Last year, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation establishing November 7 as “Victims of Communism Day”.  The law states that on or about this day, Florida high school students enrolled in classes on US Government must receive at least 45 minutes of instruction on such topics as Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot and how victims suffered under these regimes.

However, we feel that only 45 minutes of instruction is inadequate to reveal the true depth of the evils of Communism to future generations of Floridians.

In response, we have formed Victims of Communism-Manatee, Inc., a 501(c) (3) Not for Profit organization to enable high school students to learn firsthand about the horrors of Communism by hearing from people who have endured life under a Communist regime. To encourage students to participate, we have established a competitive Scholarship Program for students in Manatee County public, private and home schools.

But we cannot do this without your help.

We are asking for your tax-deductible donation to help fund our scholarship program.  To learn more about this important program and to make an online donation, please click the button below.

Your generous donation will go a long way toward preserving future generations of Floridians.
