This Is Why We Vote
Last Tuesday evening we were reminded that we live in a Republic wherein we elect representatives to carry out the will of the people. It was clear that to everyone Tuesday evening that Rep. Tommy Gregory does precisely that! Attendees were delighted to hear from an elected official who is in perfect alignment with his constituents.
Using a "Town Hall" format, Tommy fielded questions spanning a wide array of topics: from election integrity to homeowners insurance. His responses were clear and his authenticity was very much in evidence. Rep. Gregory demonstrated once again that he is indeed a representative of the people of Manatee County.

No Meeting On the 4th of July
As a reminder, in observance of the Independence Day holiday there will be no Manatee Patriots meeting on July 4th.
"Forbidden Skies: Tupolevs Over America"
After next week's holiday, we have a block buster lineup of speakers in July. Leading off will be our own Dave Reilly. Dave is a former employee of the CIA who will speak on the encroachments to American air space by Russia and China as well as other threats. A stunning presentation you won't want to miss!
Representative Will Robinson On July 18
But there's more! Our friend State Representative Will Robinson (FL District 71) will join us on Tuesday, July 18. Will will share some of the behind the scenes dynamics that happened during the most recent legislative session.
Hear Eddie Speir On July 25
We announced during our meeting last Tuesday that Vern Buchanan has a challenger for the FL-16 Congressional seat. Well here he is: Jason "Eddie" Speir will be running against Vern for that seat.
Eddie and his wife, Claire, founded in 2013 the private Christian school, Inspiration Academy. Inspiration Academy is “a transformational school that works from the inside out to produce winning habits of selflessness, discipline, and authentic care for others.” This year, Eddie served until May as a Governor DeSantis-appointed trustee for New College of Florida. As you can tell by the photo, Eddie is a man of high morals and faith. So be sure to be on hand to learn about Eddie's platform and beliefs.

You know, if you’ve ever attended a Manatee Patriots meeting at Mixon’s Fruit Farm, you’ve probably heard me say: “It’s a Cinch by the Inch, but Hard by the Yard!” Well, I believe there are nefarious groups among us who understand the basis of one of my mother’s favorite sayings, and that is INCREMENTALISM.
There was a belief held by some Conservatives, that if we give in a little, like same gender marriage, the LGBTQ group would be happy! They are not. They are coming for the children.
